Carrier-Grade Linux Working Groups
Established March 8, 2002
Mission
To define the specifics of a Carrier-Grade Linux that addresses the full
spectrum of telecommunications requirements in an age of converged voice,
video and data. To drive kernel level enhancements into the Linux kernel
to meet these telecommunications requirements.
Working Group Participation
Participation is open to everyone, either representing a company or as an
individual contributor. Only companies that are OSDL members may appoint
representatives. Individual contributors must sign a "Participant
Agreement" (see www.osdl.org).
Development Environment
CGL development will be done entirely in the open source community.
The
OSDL CGL development site
contains the definitions of CGL feature sets as well as the locations
(URLs) of the patch sets, which are implementations/integrations of feature
sets.
